President John Dramani Mahama has reshuffled his ministerial team, moving Kenneth Gilbert Adjei from the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources to the Ministry of Defence.
The Presidency, in a statement, said Mr Adjei’s reassignment has been submitted to Parliament through the Speaker for consideration, in accordance with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
As part of the changes, Ahmed Ibrahim, Member of Parliament, has also been reassigned from the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs to the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources.
Meanwhile, President Mahama has nominated Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, MP, as Minister-designate for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.
Mahama Ayariga has also been nominated as Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
The latest changes form part of President Mahama’s efforts to realign his ministerial team and strengthen the administration’s delivery across key sectors.
