The Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS) has paid a dividend of GH¢14.58 million to its sole shareholder, the Bank of Ghana, following a strong financial performance in the 2025 financial year.
The dividend was officially presented on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at The Bank Square after shareholders approved the company’s 2025 financial statements during its Annual General Meeting.
Receiving the cheque, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, described the presentation as an important corporate governance milestone and praised GhIPSS for another successful year.
He congratulated the Board, Management and staff of the company for their dedication to strengthening Ghana’s national payment infrastructure and supporting the country’s expanding digital financial ecosystem.
Dr. Asiama said the Bank of Ghana appreciates not only the financial returns generated by GhIPSS but also the broader value the company continues to create through secure, reliable and interoperable payment systems that enhance the country’s financial sector and economic growth.
He further encouraged the leadership of GhIPSS to maintain its momentum by pursuing strategic initiatives that will sustain growth and strengthen the company’s long-term position.
The dividend payment reflects GhIPSS’ solid financial performance in 2025 and follows the formal approval of its annual accounts at the company’s Annual General Meeting.
