Kristo Asafo Installs Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I as New Mission Leader

The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana has officially installed Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I, son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, as the new leader of the mission.

The announcement was made on the mission’s official Facebook page on Sunday, June 21, 2026, accompanied by a congratulatory message and a video marking his assumption of office.

In its message, the mission described the installation as a significant milestone and offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I takes on the responsibility of leading the church.

The mission also expressed confidence that the vision and legacy of its founder, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, would continue to thrive and inspire future generations under the new leadership.

The installation comes at a time of heightened public attention surrounding the Kristo Asafo Mission, following reports of a court injunction seeking to halt the installation process. It also coincides with reports of a shooting incident involving former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, at a property linked to the Safo family.

Despite the controversies, the mission has proceeded with the installation, formally ushering Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I into the leadership of one of Ghana’s most prominent religious and industrial movements.
