Ministry of Education Reschedules 2026/2027 School Placement Results Release to Sept. 4

The Ministry of Education has postponed the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31, 2026, to Friday, September 4, 2026.

The decision comes after appeals from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for more time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data onto the platforms of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the CSSPS.

According to the Ministry, about 20,000 qualified students have not yet had their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform by their Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.

The extension is intended to give these students enough time to complete the necessary processes and ensure that they are not left out of the placement exercise.

Parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools are therefore being urged to use the additional time to submit and upload all outstanding student information before the new deadline.

The Ministry said the extension will help ensure that all qualified students have the opportunity to secure placement in Senior High Schools (SHS), as well as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent, efficient and orderly placement process that gives every qualified student an equal opportunity to continue their education.
