The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned power interruption in parts of the Accra East Region as it carries out maintenance works to improve the reliability of electricity supply.
The exercise begins today, Monday, August 10, and will continue through Thursday, August 13, with affected communities expected to experience outages between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
According to ECG, the maintenance is necessary to undertake planned works on its network and improve service delivery to customers in the affected areas.
On Monday, August 10, the outage will affect Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability and surrounding communities.
On Tuesday, August 11, customers in Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction and nearby areas will be affected.
The exercise will continue on Wednesday, August 12, with interruptions expected in parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-Teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina and Libya Quarters, among other surrounding areas.
The final phase on Thursday, August 13, will affect Achimota School and surrounding communities.
ECG has advised customers in the affected areas to take note of the schedule and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the temporary outages.
The company has apologised for the inconvenience, explaining that the planned maintenance is aimed at improving the reliability and quality of electricity supply.
