Asiedu Nketia Leads Early NDC 2028 Race Despite Slight Dip in Support

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, remains the frontrunner in the party’s early race toward the 2028 presidential election, according to the latest poll released by Global InfoAnalytics.

The survey found that 27% of NDC delegates would back Asiedu Nketia if the party’s presidential primary were held today. Although he maintains a clear lead, the figure represents a slight decline from the 29% support he recorded in the April 2026 poll.

Trend data published by Global InfoAnalytics shows that Asiedu Nketia’s support has remained relatively stable over the past few months. He polled 28% in March 2026, climbed to 29% in April, and stood at 27% in the latest July survey.

The polling firm’s polynomial trend analysis indicates that despite the minor dip, Asiedu Nketia continues to hold a strong advantage in the evolving contest among NDC delegates.

The findings offer an early indication of the preferences of party delegates as attention gradually shifts toward the NDC’s preparations for the 2028 general election. While the race remains in its early stages and support levels could change over time, the latest poll places Asiedu Nketia at the forefront of the contest.
