A nationwide poll by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has found that 64.7 per cent of Ghanaians believe the double-track system has negatively affected the quality of Senior High School (SHS) education.
According to the survey, nearly two-thirds of respondents said the system has led to a decline in the quality of secondary education.
The report noted that only 20.2 per cent of respondents believe the double-track system has improved the quality of SHS education, while 14.7 per cent said it has had no effect.
A further 0.2 per cent of respondents expressed no opinion on the issue.
The findings highlight continued public concerns about the impact of the double-track system, which was introduced to expand access to secondary education and accommodate the growing number of students entering SHS.
