Thirteen people have been confirmed dead following a devastating road traffic accident involving a Ford Transit and a Toyota Hiace on the Sege-Ada Highway.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, September 2, as the two vehicles were travelling from Sege towards Ada.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), a total of 18 people were involved in the crash, with 13 losing their lives.
Personnel from the Sege Fire Station responded to the incident and assisted the victims at the scene.
The remaining five victims, who sustained critical injuries, were rushed to the Sege Polyclinic for emergency medical treatment.
The cause of the crash is yet to be established, with authorities expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
