The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced key timelines for its ongoing teacher recruitment exercise, confirming that the review of applications is currently in progress.
In a statement dated June 23, 2026, and signed by the Deputy Director-General (Management Services), Prof. Smile Dzisi, the Service said all submitted applications are being carefully assessed to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements stated in the recruitment advertisement.
According to the statement, the review process is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.
GES further indicated that the list of shortlisted applicants will be released on July 20, 2026. This will be followed by the commencement of onboarding activities at the regional and district levels.
The onboarding process is scheduled to run from July 20 to August 31, 2026, after which successful applicants are expected to officially assume duty on August 31, 2026.
Management of the Ghana Education Service expressed appreciation to all applicants for their interest in serving in the education sector and commended them for their patience throughout the recruitment process.
