Asiedu Nketiah Mourns Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari II: ‘A Great Tree Has Fallen in Dagbon’

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari Gariba II, describing his passing as a profound loss to the Dagbon Kingdom and Ghana as a whole.

Reacting to the death of the revered traditional ruler, Asiedu Nketiah said, A great tree has fallen in Dagbon,” capturing the significance of the monarch’s legacy and the void his passing leaves behind.

He praised the late Yaa Naa for his exemplary leadership, saying he occupied the skin with dignity, wisdom, and a calming presence that fostered peace and unity within the kingdom.

The NDC Chairman also extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and the people of Dagbon during this period of mourning.
