Dr. Daniel Kasser-Tee, President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), has urged Ghanaians to uphold the peace pact signed by the 12 presidential candidates ahead of the upcoming elections. He emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and democratic maturity, which have made Ghana a model for stability on the African continent.
Addressing attendees at the 33rd Presidential Ball, Dr. Kasser-Tee called for respect, tolerance, and civility as the nation prepares for the polls. “Together, we can prove that our democracy is not just about voting but about building bridges of understanding and fostering a culture of mutual respect,” he stated.
Embracing AI in Marketing
The event, held under the theme “Harnessing the Power of AI as a Transformative Tool for Marketers,” highlighted the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern business practices. Dr. Kasser-Tee noted that AI has become a crucial force in reshaping how businesses connect with consumers, analyze data, and craft strategies.
“AI offers unparalleled opportunities to gain deep insights, enhance efficiency, and deliver personalized experiences that resonate with audiences,” he remarked, urging marketing practitioners and leaders to adopt AI not just as a tool but as a catalyst for redefining the profession’s future.
Dr. Kasser-Tee also stressed the societal impact of AI, advocating for its use to drive inclusivity, better understand consumer behavior, and create equitable marketing practices. He highlighted the ethical considerations necessary in AI adoption, emphasizing respect for privacy, transparency, and integrity.
“As marketers, we have a responsibility to ensure that ethical considerations guide the deployment of AI, enhancing rather than undermining consumer trust,” he added.
Induction of New Members
The ceremony also marked the induction of new members into the CIMG, including a group of Chartered Marketers. Dr. Kasser-Tee congratulated the inductees for their dedication and hard work.
