The Ministry of Health has announced that it will begin a nationwide recruitment of health professionals starting April 16, 2026, following the approval of financial clearance.
According to the Ministry, the recruitment exercise will be decentralised and carried out at the district level, based on verified vacancies across the country. Authorities say the process will be competitive, transparent, and guided by an approved quota system covering all professional categories and year groups.
The Ministry further noted that all recruitment will be conducted within approved budgetary limits, ensuring that the process remains financially sustainable.
Qualified health professionals are encouraged to keep a close watch on official Ministry of Health platforms as well as district health administration channels for detailed vacancy announcements and application guidelines.
Applicants are also advised to prepare their necessary documents and credentials ahead of the recruitment rollout to avoid delays.
The Ministry added that the financial clearance granted for the exercise will remain valid until December 31, 2026, and all recruitment activities must be completed within this period.
It urged all eligible professionals to take advantage of the opportunity, emphasizing that the exercise forms part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across Ghana
