Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has been granted bail by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) after being detained on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
According to his management, the bail was set at GHC10 million with two sureties. The development was confirmed by Sammy Flex, a member of Shatta Wale’s management team, in a video update on Facebook. He explained that the artiste’s legal team is currently working to satisfy the bail conditions.
Shatta Wale was invited by EOCO for questioning in connection with a yellow Lamborghini Urus he recently acquired. The interrogation, management says, focuses on issues related to the vehicle’s taxes and the operations of Shatta Wale’s company.
Despite the ongoing probe, Sammy Flex assured fans that the award-winning musician is in good health and high spirits.
“He’s very fine. He’s cooperating and making sure the law takes its course, just as he wants it to be. He’s in good spirit and sends his regards,” Sammy Flex said.
Shatta Wale’s case continues to attract public attention, with his supporters closely monitoring developments as his legal team works towards securing his release.
