President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in newly appointed Deputy Ministers at a ceremony held at the Jubilee House in Accra on March 12, 2025.
The event marked the formal induction of the deputy ministers, who will support their respective substantive ministers in executing government policies and programs.
Parliamentary Approval
The swearing-in follows the successful vetting and approval of the nominees by Parliament’s Appointments Committee, chaired by Mr. Bernard Ahiafor. After undergoing a rigorous review process, Parliament unanimously endorsed the nominees, paving the way for their official assumption of duties.

In addition to the deputy ministerial appointments, President Mahama also swore in Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms.
