President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Singapore for a three-day State Visit, beginning Monday, August 25.

The trip, announced by the Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, is focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and exploring new areas of partnership. Key priorities include boosting trade and investment, advancing education and innovation, promoting agribusiness, strengthening urban solutions, and expanding opportunities in the digital economy.

While in Singapore, President Mahama will meet with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to hold high-level bilateral talks. He is also scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the 8th Africa–Singapore Business Forum (ASBF) and lead a special Ghana Investment and Business Forum designed to connect Ghanaian and Singaporean business leaders.

Speaking on arrival, President Mahama highlighted the strong ties between the two countries.

“Ghana and Singapore share a forward-looking outlook anchored in innovation, skills, and enterprise,” he said. “This visit is about translating our shared values into practical cooperation attracting Singaporean investment and expertise into Ghana’s priority sectors while creating fresh opportunities for Ghanaian businesses in Southeast Asia.”

The President is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for Foreign Affairs; Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Advisor and Special Aide to the President; Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry; and Haruna Iddrisu, Minister for Education.

Also traveling with him are Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson; Simon Madjie, Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; and Francis Kwarteng Arthur, Chief Executive of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
