Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has called on party delegates to make choices that truly reflect the will of the people as the party gears up for its national delegates’ conference on Saturday, July 19.
In a heartfelt message shared on Facebook, the outspoken Assin Central MP appealed to delegates to prioritise the views of the grassroots, describing them as the true heartbeat of the party.
“I am pleading with you to take the right decision that reflects the views of Ghanaians and the delegates, especially the grassroots,” he wrote. “They are the voice of the people, and we should listen to them.”
Mr. Agyapong, who is one of four contenders eyeing the NPP’s flagbearer slot for the 2028 general elections, believes that the party’s future victory hinges on the decisions made at this conference.
“So I am pleading with all the delegates to make the right decision to help this party win the 2028 election,” he added.
The NPP’s national delegates’ conference will take place at the Legon Sports Stadium in Accra, where new national executives will be elected to lead the party into the next phase of its journey. With high stakes and growing anticipation, the conference promises to be a defining moment in the party’s political trajectory.
