The Ministry of the Interior has announced new dates for applicants who were unable to complete their aptitude tests on the Centralised E-Recruitment Portal due to technical difficulties.
In a public notice, the Ministry explained that some Category C applicants with WASSCE certificates encountered challenges while attempting to submit their tests online. Officials acknowledged that the technical disruption affected a number of candidates and required swift action to guarantee fairness in the ongoing 2025/26 security services recruitment exercise.
To resolve the issue, the Ministry has outlined a staggered mop-up exercise scheduled to run from Saturday, February 21 to Friday, February 28, 2026. The revised timetable is organised according to the various security agencies under the Ministry.
Applicants to the Ghana Immigration Service will retake their aptitude tests from February 21 to February 23. Those seeking enlistment into the Ghana Police Service are scheduled to sit for their tests on February 24 and 25.
The exercise will conclude with candidates applying to the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Prisons Service, who will access the portal from February 26 to February 28.
In addition, the Ministry has set aside a general mop-up session for all categories, from A to C, which will take place between March 1 and March 2, 2026. Results of the aptitude test are expected to be released on March 4, 2026.
Affected applicants will receive SMS notifications with instructions on how to log back into the portal and complete their assessments within the new timeframe.
The Ministry, however, clarified that about 82 per cent of applicants who have already successfully completed the test will not be granted access to the portal during the extension period, a measure intended to ease pressure on the system and prevent further technical congestion.
