Kwaku Ohene Gyan, also known as Osonoba, a former Deputy Director of Operations at the National Service Authority (NSA), has allegedly been taken into custody by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB). Reports indicate that he was apprehended on Saturday evening and is currently being held at the NIB offices in Kawukudi.
The reasons behind his detention remain undisclosed, but his legal representatives are expected to meet with him tomorrow to assess the situation and determine the next steps for securing his release. It is also unclear whether his arrest is connected to the ongoing controversy at the NSA.
Additionally, Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, former Chairman of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) Board, has also been detained by the NIB at Kawukudi, near Nima in the Greater Accra Region.
Details regarding his detention have not yet been made public, but his legal team is actively working to obtain his release. Lawyers are currently at the NIB offices seeking bail for the former Education Minister.
