President John Dramani Mahama has reshuffled parts of his government, with some ministers and a deputy minister being reassigned to new roles.
As part of the changes, the Minister for Labour, Employment and Job Creation has been reassigned as Minister of State for Special Initiatives, while a new minister takes over the Labour portfolio.
The President has also reassigned the Deputy Minister for Defence to serve as Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.
The changes take immediate effect.
