President Mahama Pledges Urgent Action to Ensure Safe Access to Education for Asuokow Pupils

President John Mahama has assured residents of Asuokow in the Eastern Region that immediate steps will be taken to address the dangerous river crossing that schoolchildren must navigate daily to access education.

In a Facebook post, he shared a video highlighting the struggles of the community and reiterated his commitment to finding a permanent solution. He revealed that Asuokow has already been identified for intervention, with plans in motion to resolve the issue swiftly.

“Earlier today, the MP for Lower West Akim, Owen Kwame Frimpong, visited the Asuokow community and assured them that the Eastern Regional Minister will also visit as we work towards an urgent and lasting solution for both the residents and schoolchildren,” President Mahama stated.

He further emphasized that his Reset Ghana agenda is focused on removing obstacles to education and healthcare, ensuring that every Ghanaian has equal opportunities. “Our commitment to Reset Ghana includes eliminating barriers that hinder access to education and healthcare across the country,” he added.

Residents of Asuokow remain hopeful that this intervention will bring much-needed relief and ensure the safety of their children as they pursue their education.
