Northshore Apparel Ghana Champions Sustainability with Green Initiatives

Northshore Apparel Ghana is leading the way in sustainable manufacturing by aligning its operations with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 7 and 13, which focus on clean energy and climate action. The company has launched a series of eco-friendly initiatives aimed at reducing its environmental impact while promoting long-term sustainability.

Among its key projects is the installation of a roof-mounted Solar Power Facility, enabling the company to harness renewable energy and decrease its reliance on fossil fuels. Additionally, Northshore Apparel has implemented an Anaerobic Baffled Bio-Digester (ABBD) system, which converts waste into energy and facilitates water reuse, contributing to a greener production environment.

In a further commitment to environmental sustainability, the company has planted over 1,700 trees, reinforcing its dedication to reforestation and carbon offsetting. Northshore Apparel also prioritizes water conservation by utilizing boreholes for construction, ensuring responsible resource management.

Founder Nurideen Mohammed emphasized the company’s vision of creating a sustainable and socially responsible business.

“Our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint while championing eco-friendly operations. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and the global fight against climate change,” he stated.

With these efforts, Northshore Apparel Ghana continues to set a benchmark for sustainability in the apparel industry, proving that responsible business practices can drive both economic growth and environmental stewardship.
