The Ministry of Finance has officially moved its offices from the central business district to Kanda in Accra, a shift the Ministry says is aimed at improving efficiency and coordination in the delivery of its mandate.
In a press statement issued on Friday February 6, 2026, the Ministry announced that it has completed the relocation and will begin full operations at the new premises from Monday, February 9, 2026.
“The Ministry of Finance wishes to inform the general public that it has officially relocated its offices to Kanda, Accra,” the statement said.
According to the Ministry, the relocation forms part of broader efforts to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen internal coordination, and improve responsiveness to stakeholders and the general public.
Importantly, the Ministry clarified that the new office complex was not constructed by the current administration. It noted that the facility was built by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) before the present government assumed office, addressing potential public speculation surrounding the move.
“This relocation forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance the operational efficiency, coordination, and responsiveness of the Ministry in the discharge of its mandate,” the statement added.
With the move, all official correspondence, visits, and public inquiries are now to be directed to the Ministry’s new address at Tumu Avenue, Kanda, Accra, with the digital address GV-002-6511. The postal address remains P.O. Box MB 40, Ministries, Accra, Ghana.
The Ministry assured the public that its contact telephone numbers and email addresses remain unchanged, urging stakeholders to continue engaging the Ministry as usual.
For further inquiries, the Ministry can be reached via +233 302 747 197 or info@mofep.gov.gh, while additional information is available on its website, www.mofep.gov.gh.
The statement, issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Finance, concluded with a call for continued cooperation as the Ministry begins operations from its new premises.
“The Ministry looks forward to the continued cooperation of all stakeholders as it works to improve service delivery to the public from its new premises,” it said.
