Musah Dankwah, Executive Director and Head of Global Research at Global InfoAnalytics, has dismissed allegations of political bias following the release of the firm’s recent post-election poll.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Mr. Dankwah asserted that Global InfoAnalytics is an independent polling company with no ties to any political party or agenda. “We are pollsters, and whether they like it or not, they should accept it. They are not going to tell us how to do our work,” he stated firmly.
He emphasized that their polls are conducted for professional and public information purposes, not to serve any political interest. “We are not a think tank or a pressure group; we are a company. If you don’t want to listen to us, just put it in the bin,” he said.
Mr. Dankwah also defended the accuracy and reliability of the company’s past predictions, pointing to their over 90% success rate in forecasting results during the 2024 elections — from national outcomes down to the constituency level.
Referencing the Dome Kwabenya constituency, he recalled how critics dismissed their prediction that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would win the seat. “They told us we were mad, but in the end, who won? The NDC. They should learn from this,” he remarked.
A recent Global InfoAnalytics post-election poll found that 68% of respondents blamed former President Nana Akufo-Addo for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 general elections.
