GFA Parts Ways with Otto Addo After Poor Run in Friendlies

The Ghana Football Association has officially parted ways with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo following a disappointing run of results in recent international friendlies.

The decision comes on the back of consecutive defeats to Austria and Germany, extending Ghana’s losing streak to four matches and raising concerns about the team’s form ahead of crucial competitions.

In an official statement, the GFA confirmed the development, stating, “The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has parted ways with the Head Coach of the senior men’s national team (Black Stars), Otto Addo, effective immediately.”

The Association also expressed appreciation for his service, adding, “The Association wishes to thank Otto Addo sincerely for his contribution to the team and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”

Addo’s exit marks yet another shift in the technical direction of the Black Stars, as the GFA looks to rebuild and reposition the team ahead of upcoming World Cup preparations.

The FA noted that it will soon announce a new technical plan for the team, stating that details on the next head coach and overall strategy will be communicated in due course.

This latest development highlights growing pressure on the national team to deliver improved performances and restore confidence among fans.
