Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain focused and rally behind him as the party prepares to elect its flagbearer on January 31.
With just days to the crucial election, Dr. Bawumia has intensified his nationwide tour, engaging delegates across various constituencies to canvass for their support. According to him, the momentum behind his campaign continues to grow as more party members express confidence in his leadership.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, January 21, Dr. Bawumia expressed optimism about his chances, describing the rising enthusiasm across the country as a strong signal of victory.
“It’s ten more days to victory, and the chorus to win with Bawumia is getting louder across the country,” he wrote.
He extended his appreciation to delegates in the Manso Adubia, Manso Nkwanta, Subin, and Suame constituencies for their encouragement, noting that their support reflects the broader sentiments within the party.
“Let’s remain focused and keep working hard for victory together,” he added.
In a separate post, Dr. Bawumia also acknowledged the overwhelming support he received during his engagements in the Odotobri, Bekwai, Bosomtwe, and Asokwa constituencies. He thanked party members for their reassurance and pledged not to take their confidence in him for granted.
Reaffirming his commitment to the party’s future, Dr. Bawumia said he is ready to work closely with all party stakeholders to achieve the shared objective of winning the 2028 general elections.
“Let’s begin this journey of restoration together with a decisive victory on 31st January,” he stated.
The NPP’s flagbearer election is expected to shape the party’s direction ahead of the 2028 presidential contest.
