The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has announced the resignation of its Managing Director, Mr. Alhassan Yakubu-Tali, effective February 5, 2025. This follows the nomination of a new Managing Director by the bank’s majority shareholder.
Mr. Yakubu-Tali’s tenure as Managing Director began on December 1, 2022, following his role as Deputy Managing Director from August 2017 to November 2022. During his leadership, he spearheaded a two-year corporate strategy that contributed significantly to the bank’s growth in capital and assets.
A key achievement under his leadership was the successful injection of GHS1.501 billion in additional capital by the bank’s shareholders, ensuring capital stability. His strategic focus on recovering the bank’s non-performing loans also yielded impressive results, leading to improved financial performance and reversing previous years’ losses.
In a statement, ADB’s Board, Management, and Staff expressed gratitude to Mr. Yakubu-Tali for his remarkable contributions to the bank’s progress and wished him success in his future endeavors.
ADB remains committed to its mission of providing financial solutions to Ghana’s agricultural sector and beyond as it transitions to new leadership.
