The Managing Director of Agricultural Development Bank (ADB PLC), Edward Ato Sarpong, has praised the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, describing him as a living symbol of peace, compassion, and love during an Iftar gathering held for Muslim staff and partners at the bank’s Head Office on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
The event, organized to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, brought together employees, partners, and members of the Muslim community in a spirit of reflection, gratitude, and unity. It also served as an occasion for the bank’s leadership to extend goodwill messages ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival that concludes the month-long fast

On behalf of the Board, Management, and Staff of ADB PLC, Mr. Sarpong conveyed warm Eid greetings to customers, partners, and Muslims across Ghana and the world. He noted that Eid-ul-Fitr represents the culmination of a period defined by sacrifice, discipline, spiritual renewal, and deep reflection.
According to him, the values associated with Ramadan gratitude, compassion, generosity, and unity align closely with the bank’s institutional culture and mission. He emphasized that these principles continue to guide ADB’s operations and relationships with stakeholders.
Mr. Sarpong further highlighted the enduring influence of the National Chief Imam, whose leadership, he said, continues to inspire peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths and backgrounds. He described the revered cleric as a unifying figure whose lifelong commitment to harmony serves as a powerful reminder of the strength found in mutual respect and understanding.
Reaffirming the bank’s corporate vision, the Managing Director stated that ADB remains dedicated to delivering innovative financial solutions, strengthening partnerships, supporting businesses, and contributing to Ghana’s economic growth and development.
He also expressed appreciation to customers and partners for their continued trust, assuring them of the bank’s commitment to walking alongside them on their financial journeys.

Concluding his message, Mr. Sarpong offered prayers for peace, joy, and blessings for Muslim families celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, asking that Allah accept their prayers and sacrifices. He reiterated ADB’s resolve to empower communities, build sustainable futures, and drive shared prosperity.
