ADB Leadership Tours Local Beverage Plant, Reinforces Support for SME Growth

The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has taken another step to strengthen its relationship with local businesses, as its top management toured the production facility of a beverages and mineral water company at Oyarifa.

The visit forms part of ADB’s broader strategy to deepen partnerships with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and actively support the growth of Ghanaian-owned industries.

Leading the delegation were the Managing Director, Edward Ato Sarpong, and the Deputy Managing Director, Prof. Ferdinand Ahiakpor. During the tour, the ADB team engaged with the company’s management, holding discussions focused on expanding collaboration, improving operational efficiency, and exploring innovative ways to scale up production.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Sarpong emphasized ADB’s long-term vision, noting that the bank aims to position itself as “a modern, resilient and globally competitive institution that drives industry and empowers growth.” He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to providing tailored financial solutions that enable local enterprises to thrive and create jobs.

The tour also highlighted ADB’s ongoing rebranding and transformation agenda, which seeks to align the bank’s operations with international best practices while maintaining a strong focus on national development and value addition within the local economy.

By engaging directly with its partners on the ground, ADB continues to demonstrate its role not just as a financier, but as a strategic partner dedicated to supporting Ghana’s industrial and SME ecosystem.
