Alhaji Huudu Yahaya Poised to Be Appointed as Ghana Gas Board Chairman
Barring any last-minute changes, veteran politician Alhaji Huudu Yahaya is expected to be named the Board Chairman of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited. Sources close to the appointment process indicate that his selection is in its final stages.
Alhaji Huudu Yahaya is a well-respected figure within the PNDC-NDC tradition, having played a significant role in Ghana’s political landscape. His extensive public service record includes serving as Deputy Regional Secretary and later as Regional Secretary for the Northern Region.
Beyond his regional roles, he has held key ministerial positions, including Minister for Mobilisation and Social Welfare, as well as Minister of Trade and Tourism, where he contributed to national development policies.
Currently, he serves as the Secretary to the Council of Elders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a position that further solidifies his influence within the party.
