The Minority has criticized President John Dramani Mahama for what they describe as another round of blame-shifting in his leadership of the National Economic Dialogue.
At a press conference on Monday, March 3, former Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam accused the President of failing to offer concrete solutions to Ghana’s economic challenges. Instead, he argued, Mahama was deflecting responsibility and repeating old approaches.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we find ourselves here again with another round of blame game and yet another National Economic Dialogue. It is the same old story with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, who promises job creation but begins by dismissing those already employed,” Dr. Amin Adam stated.
He criticized the dialogue as lacking innovative ideas and called on the government to prioritize practical economic solutions over political rhetoric.
According to him, while the President claims to have a strategy for economic recovery, his actions contradict that promise.
“You cannot build a thriving economy by dismissing hardworking individuals and shifting blame,” he asserted.
Dr. Amin Adam urged Ghanaians to scrutinize the policies emerging from the dialogue and demand accountability from the government. He cautioned that without decisive leadership and responsible governance, Ghana’s economic struggles would persist, regardless of the discussions at the forum.
